2026 Dual Stream Curbside Pickup


Dual-stream recycling pickups will occur every Tuesday borough-wide and alternate weekly between cardboard and paper on one week and cans/bottles on the alternate weeks.  

Cardboard & Paper:

Please bundle cardboard/paper together for easy lifting. It can be stuffed together in a bigger box, or taped together, or tied together.  Loose cardboard will not be taken. 

Cardboard pickup does not include Styrofoam packing from inside packages. Styrofoam will not be taken. Block Styrofoam (not foam peanuts) can be delivered on Fridays to the DPW recycling shed beside the DPW flagpole.

Cardboard & paper pickup occurs every other Tuesday beginning on Jan 13, 2026.


Bottles & Cans:

Place cans and bottles to the curb in covered 32 gallon cans for pickup. Plastic bags will not be taken.

We take plastic bottles/containers limited to plastics stamped Type 1, Type 2, and Type 5.  

Frozen food trays, salad containers, and yogurt cups are not taken.

Cans and bottles pickup occurs every other Tuesday beginning on Jan 20, 2026.

Vegetative Waste

Vegetative Waste collection (mixed leaves, branches, twigs, etc.) will commence in January 2026, and every Thursday  thereafter, unless otherwise noted in the Information Guide calendar. Please place all materials in containers no larger than 32 gallons or in brown paper lawn and leaf bags.

Please view the new 2026 Information Guide on the Borough webpage, Public Works Department. It was distributed, via US Mail, to all residents,  in January. There are some additional copies at Borough Hall, while supplies last.

The DPW Facility is open to residents, Fridays 7 am to 2:30 pm. It is also openon the second Saturday of every month, 7:30 am to Noon. We accept recycling, used motor oil, electronic waste (computers, monitors, printers, and TVs), and scrap metal. Residents may always bring their Type 10 waste (household trash) to the DPW Facility.  Bulk items are not accepted unless accompanied by a confirmation of payment from the Borough Clerk's Office.

Please remember to bring your reusable bags when you go grocery shopping.
